I have found that most business owners do not have the time to do even the basic SEO audit and usually set up their sites without thinking about the customer journey. Don't worry, its never too late to add SEO or SEM to your site.

Running a business always requires being able to multitask in lots of different disciplines. Don't shortcut how and why people find you on the web. If you invest the money in a great site, think of SEO as your insurance policy to protect that investment.
